Over the weekend, I received a letter from my "breast friends" at Radiological Associates letting me know that my annual mammogram was wonderfully normal. Hooray! My appointment next week with my radiation oncologist should pretty much be a ho-hum, routine kind of meeting. Those are the best kind of appointments. My doctor has children about the same ages as the Smithlings, so she & I will get to compare stories of what our children are up to. I suppose that we will have to go over the results of the screening, as well, but that won't be as much fun as telling funny tales about our kiddos!
It has been 28 months since I was diagnosed with cancer, and 24 months since I wrapped up the radiation treatment. I am soooo thankful that the cancer was found early & treated quickly! I was (and still am) blessed to have so many friends & family members praying for me. We have definitely felt the Lord's healing touch. And we have seen & experienced his love through others.
1 Chronicles 16:34
"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever."
I don't particularly like to be reminded of ALL of the events of two years ago, but I do enjoy remembering the encouraging words, all the prayer coverage, the thoughtful deeds, the love, support, and the kindness that was shown to me & my family throughout my brush with cancer. God is good indeed! We have learned to count our blessings daily, give thanks in ALL circumstances, and take nothing for granted -- especially good health.
I wanted to share this good news with you. And, no, I will not be posting any photos along with this entry. HA!!!
Have a great day!
