According to #3 Smithling, part of the fun of visiting Grandpa in Indiana is getting to "skip" school for a few days, go to new places, do "stuff" that we don't do during a regular ho-hum week, stay up later than normal, and have LOTS of treats that Mom and Dad don't normally allow at home. (There are many other things that could be added to that list, but I will keep the list short and sweet; emphasis on the sweet part.)
It's a well known fact that grandparents are supposed to get away with pretty much whatever they want, as they have earned the right to do so. Grandchildren should obey and honor their grandparents. Right? This "obedience" typically results in spoilage! Oh, but it's all good.
As we were driving back to "The Thompson Ranch" yesterday afternoon, the offer was made to go get ice cream, and it was not going to be refused. :-)
A soft serve cone is always tasty, but it is even tastier right before dinnertime.
In the following photos, Millie demonstrates her "new & improved" version of the double dip ice cream cone.
..two cones are DEFINITELY better than one.
Spoilage indeed.
Spoilage indeed.
