We were Ho Ho Home for Christmas

It was a Merry Christmas indeed! The Smithlings slept in until well after 8 a.m., so we finally had Challah bread French toast and scrambled eggs for brunch some time after 9 o'clock. After we cleared the dishes, we gathered in the living room to read Luke Chapter 2 -- that's tradition.
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.

"Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
- Luke 2:8-14

The Smithlings needed to open their gifts all at the same time since all parts work together!

After gifts were opened, the kids had an hour to play Wii games before we met up with the Daleo family to play a few holes of golf at the Whitney Oaks course. Well, six people out of our group of nine played some form of golf while three of us cheered the golfers on. It was a beautiful afternoon, and it felt good to get some fresh air and sunshine.

No Wii Mii golfers were allowed on this course, of course.

Bacon wrapped filet mignon, green beans, salad, bread, and sparkling cider were on the menu for dinner. No mold was served. :-)

Merry CHRISTmas to all, and to all a good night.
